...Long Live Week 4.

For 2018 I have been drawing something new every day - no matter how small - no matter how stupid.

Partly because I am trying to learn how to draw digitally. Partly because it keeps the frequency and discipline up.  Partly because it is fun.

I suspect as the year gets steadily busier and busier the drawing will get stupider stupiderer.

My normal hand drawn stuff will still be going too and there are some larger commission pieces on the way.

Happy Monday to All,

For 2018 I have challenged myself to put one small drawing out each day.
A bit like Inktober but for a ridiculously long period of time.

It is a learning exercise.
I expect that in a few weeks, maybe a few days I will already be a gibbering wreck and give up.
Hence the title: Doomed to Fail.

I have just started dabbling in digital drawing.
Great fun, but a long way away from my self-taught, hand-drawn roots.

As you can see from the image above, it is not about quality. It is about consistency. If it all goes wrong - post it up - move onto the next project.

One week down of the Doomed to Fail Project. A silly aim to put out something new every day. No quality control - just consistency and frequency. Is that the same thing? A dictionary might tell me. [Edit: No. No it is not.]

Most of these scribbles will end up in scraps - but every now and then one might leak through into the main gallery.

The result so far seems to be just a bunch of nonsense. I am hoping that as the days go by eventually little narrative threads and recurring ideas will begin to surface. The alternative is it just gets weirder and messier. That's okay though right?...  Right?

[Tumble weed tumbles in a most tumbly way. This is weird because we are indoors.]

Hmm... That's interesting. Do go on.
[Someone pushes a vacuum cleaner across the hall. They look annoyed to find us here. They look accusingly at the tumble weed. Then back to us. Then back to the tumble weed]

Hmm...
[The grumpy cleaner turns. Stomps to the exit. Turns out the lights. In total darkness we hear their clomping boots recede down the hallway.]
